Juniors come up short against O’Neill-Neligh

RANDOLPH–Randolph’s Junior Legion lost to O’Neill-Neligh 21-3 last week in a game that started the opposite of how it finished.

RANDOLPH—Randolph’s Junior Legion lost to O’Neill-Neligh 21-3 last week in a game that started the opposite of how it finished.

Randolph was leading 3-2 after the first inning. And after two more innings of play, the game was still within reach.

That all changed in the third inning when O’Neill-Neligh scored 11 runs. They continued the scoring with six more runs in the next two innings combined.

Kaleb Gardner was the bright spot for the Juniors’ offense as he went 1-1 and drove in all three runs for the Juniors on a home run crack of the bat.

The Juniors look ahead to Creighton-Plainview to try and gain their first win on the season.
