Junior team strikes out against Twin River

SILVER CREEK – Randolph’s Junior Legion baseball team lost in a four-inning, run-rule against Twin River by a score of 16-0.

The game was never in Randolph’s control as they gave up five runs in the bottom of the first inning and couldn’t find a hit as they had no hits on the day.

The scoring from Twin River continued into the remaining innings as they scored three runs in the second, five runs in the third and three more to close out the game in the fourth frame.

On the mound, Gavin Wortman had 92 pitches in three innings and recorded a strikeout.
