HARTINGTON — Norbert Boland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boland, Hartington, graduated from minor seminary at St. Lawrence College in Mount Calvary, Wis.

Jones Hardware Store in Wynot, part of the community for 15 years, closed last week when Mr. Jones finished selling his stock.

HARTINGTON — Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Robinson left for Philadelphia where they will attend the Republican National Convention.

HARTINGTON — Much anxiety was caused at the Leonard Bender home when they discovered their 22-month old son, Lyle, was missing.

After a search by family and neighbors for more than an hour, Lyle was found in his own yard.

He had crawled under some machinery.

HARTINGTON — Two hundred people are expected to attend the annual Northeast Nebraska District 4-H Club camp at the fairgrounds in Hartington.

LAUREL — A fire loss that claims approximately $5,500 was witnessed by many Friday night when a blaze of undetermined origin partially destroyed the Laurel Masonic Lodge Hall on the second floor and Truby’s Palace Market on the first floor. Damage amounted to $4,000 to the building and about $1,500 loss to merchandise in the store.
