Barbara Bach COLERIDGE – Barbara Jean Bach, 78, Coleridge, died Jan. 20, 2023, at Arbor Care Center, Hartington.

Barbara Bach COLERIDGE — Barbara Jean Bach, 78, Coleridge, died Jan. 20, 2023, at Arbor Care Center, Hartington.

Funeral services will be Jan. 31, at 10:30 a.m., at the United Lutheran Church, Laurel, with the Rev. Matthew Quanbeck officiating.

Burial will be at the Laurel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Kruger, Mike Stehno, Stan Plenske, Dan Bach, Severin Bach and Jake Bach.

Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Morgan, Nick Morgan and Tim Polenske. Visitation will be Jan. 30, at church, from 5-7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Laurel.

Barbara Jean was born May 15, 1944, in Greenville, Texas, to Clarence and Edith (Abston) Wilcher. She grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. She met Kenneth Milton Bach at Murphy’s Chicken Diner on base in Fort Hood, Texas. while Ken was stationed there in the Army. Barbara and Ken were married Aug. 19, 1967, in Colleen, Texas. They moved to a farm north of Randolph in late 1967. They lived on this farm for 41 years until moving into Coleridge, in 2008. Because of her health issues, Barbara had a short stay at Arbor Care Center in Hartington before her death.

Barbara loved her family and her grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her husband Ken, Coleridge; two sons, Michael (Tricia) Bach, Norfolk, and their children, Abbey (Aaron) Morgan, and Alyssa Bach & her fiance, Logan Solis; and Arin Bach; Steven (Mindy) Bach of Belden, and their children, Severin and Jake (Claire) Bach); five great-grandchildren, Addilynn Bach, Aubrey Morgan, Liam Morgan, Avery Morgan and Milo Solis; three sisters, Ruthie Turney, Grand Prairie, Texas; Suzie Ship, Merritt, Texas; and Dorothy Lindsey, Chicago Heights, Ill.; niece, Jacqueline; and nephew, Ronny Glen Turney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edith Wilcher; sisters, Lorene (LeeRoy) Cleghorn, and Mary (Tex) Monroe; one brother, Cecil “Red” Wilcher; brothers-in-law, Jack Turney, David LaQuey, Joe Lindsey, and Dale Bach; and nieces, Beverly, Linda Carol and Lisa Marie.
