Ball season underway

RANDOLPH - The grandstands at the Randolph Area Veterans Memorial Park were full of spectators who took in the sights and sounds of the season Monday night.

A full slate of youth baseball games were held at the park while softball started Tuesday night with games at Laurel.

American Legion baseball boasts two teams this year - a juniors and a seniors team. Their season also got underway Tuesday night at Orchard with a juniors game.

Additional games for all teams are scheduled throughout the week, generally with youth baseball games on Monday and Wednesday evenings and youth softball on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

The men’s softball team has two games under their belt already, playing Pierce and Creighton.

There is no ladies slow pitch team for the 2023 season.
