HARTINGTON — If all goes as planned, ground will be broken in early August on the multi-million dollar addition and renovation project at the Cedar County Courthouse
On June 18, Architect Glenn Mannes sent the plans for the project to the printers – by June 23 the plans were ready to be distributed to those who would be bidding on the work.
On Tuesday, July 8, County Commissioners held a pre-bid meeting, which allowed time for questions and answers concerning the project before bids are submitted.
Construction Manager Radec Construction set 2 p.m. July 17 as the deadline for receiving bids, according to Cedar County Clerk Dave Dowling.

Kathy Steffen, age 58, of Fordyce, died on Sunday, March 30, 2008 in an automobile accident west of Fordyce.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 10:30 am at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with Rev. Joseph Broudou officiating.
