HURON, S.D. — Rosemary Mason, 73, Huron, S.D., died Feb. 22, 2010, at Huron Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were Feb. 26 at Welter Funeral Home, Huron. Joyce Cook officiated at the service and Bonnie Jaqua provided music.

Rosemary Mason was born Rosemary Cora Cook, daughter of Wesley and Twila (Bradley) Cook, July 13, 1936, in O’Neill. She graduated from high school in 1953. Rosemary married Norman Mason and they lived in Huron until she entered the nursing home in 2004. She worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business for many years, and spent hours in her garden and yard. She loved reading and spending time with her family and friends.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Anita B. Wieseler, 79, Sioux City, Iowa, died Feb. 22, 2010, at a local hospital after a lengthy illness.

Visitation and a prayer service were Feb. 25 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Alexis Williams, First United Methodist Church, Marshalltown, Iowa, officiating.

Funeral services were Feb. 26 at Faith Lutheran Church, Sioux City, with Rev. Ralph Shorey officiating.

YANKTON, S.D. — S. Denise Stevens OSB, 87, Yankton, S.D., died Oct. 16, 2009, at Sacred Heart Monastery Care Center, Yankton.
A wake service was held Oct. 20 and a Funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 20 in Bishop Marty Memorial Chapel.
Burial was in the monastery cemetery.
Wintz and Ray Funeral Home, Yankton, was in charge of arrangements.
Bernice Rita Elizabeth Stevens was born May 13, 1922, to Henry and Margaret (Eickhoff) Stevens near Bow Valley. She was the youngest of 10 children. When she was four, the family moved to the outskirts of Hartington. She attended Holy Trinity Grade School and graduated from Holy Trinity High School shortly after her 17th birthday in 1939. Following her high school graduation, she began working for Dr. Dorsey in Hartington for $3 per week. Realizing her call in life was not to the nursing profession, she became secretary to A.J. Lammers, a local real estate and insurance man and later worked in the Bank of Hartington for E.W. Rossiter.
