Obituary – Leanna I. Loftis

Central City — Leanna I. Loftis, 90, Central City, died Oct. 4, 2017, at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care, Central City.
Visitation was Oct. 9 at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home, Central City.
Funeral services were Oct. 10 at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home, Central City, with Pastor Nelson Rossi officiating.
Burial will be in the Hartington Cemetery.
Leanna Irene was born Feb. 14, 1927, to George and Bertha (Harms) Konken in Coleridge. Leanna grew up in Northeast Nebraska. She married Warren Loftis June 4, 1951. Leanna moved with her family to Atkinson in the 1960s. In 1969, they moved to Central City. She worked as a cook at the West Gate Café and then Litzenberg Hospital. She retired from Litzenberg in 1989, and remained living in Central City.
Leanna was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Aurora.
She enjoyed spending her time crocheting, gardening and canning.
She is survived by her children, Darrell Loftis, Central City; and Karen (Scott) Butcher, Marquette; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Leanna was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Warren; her son, Neal Loftis; two infant sons; an infant grandson; her sister, Deltha Roberts; and her brothers, Arnold Konken and Kenneth Konken.
