Obituary – Raymond “Pal” Weber

PIERCE — Ramona M. “Pal” Weber, 81, Pierce, died July 19, 2016, at Faith Regional Health Services, Norfolk.
Visitation was Thursday at Stonacek Memorial Chapel, Pierce.
Funeral services were July 22 at the United Methodist Church, Pierce. The Rev. Rogers Chishiba officiated, with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk.
Casketbearers were Cory Mattson, Jeremy Suckstorf, Adam Nathan, Greg Nathan, Dustin Weber, Josh Weber and Addison Croghan.
Honorary casketbearers were Dawn McKeown, Heather Kesting, Angie Emerson, Holly Domsch, Lindsay Svehla, Amy Suckstorf, Lacey Hamilton, Kylee Larson, Taylor Reuss, Cassidy Sporleder and Kelsey Croghan.
Pal was born Feb. 15, 1935, in Norfolk, to Albert and Cora Marie (Young) Clausen. She was confirmed at the United Methodist Church, Magnet. In 1952, she married Lowell Weber. They farmed in the Pierce and Randolph area. Ramona worked at different cafes as a cook and waitress. The couple divorced in 1973. She then moved to Hadar until 1980 and then moved to Pierce. She worked at Sherwood Medical for 16 years and retired in 1996.
She loved spoiling her grandkids and taking care of Zoey, cooking, taking trips with her sister, taking care of her flowers and going to church. Ramona loved watching her grandkids in all of their sports.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pierce, and its ladies aid.
Survivors are her children, Debra Sporleder, Pierce; Kerry (Terry) “Tex” Nathan, Pierce; Becky (Mark) Croghan, Pierce; Lane (Kim) Weber, Pierce; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Winona “Nonie” Dempsay, Pierce; a nephew, Kevin Dempsay, Hadar; and a niece, Ellen (Chuck) Echternacht, Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Cora Marie; an infant son, Gregory; an infant daughter, Kathy; a granddaughter, Christy Schumacher; and a niece, Christine Dempsay.
