HARTINGTON — There was a real battle at the Community Complex Friday between Cedar Catholic and Stanton, and it was electrifying as the Trojans hung on to win a 28-21 cliff-hanger.
Strong southerly winds made it two different games depending on which way a team was trying to drive down the field.
Cedar got off to a quick start on the night, pounding out a seven-play, 80-yard opening drive to score. The Trojans found the endzone on a two-yard Jacob Keiser dive over the left side. The extra point attempt failed, putting Cedar on top 6-0 with just under nine minutes left in the first frame.
