MORSE BLUFF — Budde “Bud” Timothy Boysen, 72, Morse Bluff, and Green Valley, Ariz., died Jan. 23, 2016.

A casual Open House will be held 5-8 p.m., Jan. 28, at the American Legion Post #340 Hall, Morse Bluff.

A celebration of his life will be held in Green Valley, at a later date.

Bud was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Omaha, to Gene and Helen (Budde) Boysen.

After graduating from Grand Island Senior High School, he attended Midland Lutheran College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Bud had a 31-year career in the pharmaceutical industry.

After retiring in 1997, he and Sally enjoyed spending time together while fishing and hiking. The sometimes-frustrating game of golf was made enjoyable by close friends. His passion for grilling and barbecuing was enjoyed by countless family members and friends.

Bud is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sally (Bottolfsen) Boysen; mother, Helen Boysen, Grand Island; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Lin Boysen, Loveland, Colo.; brother and sister-in-law, Bernie and Amy Boysen, Shawnee, Okla.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Nancy Johnson, Rainy River, Ontario, Canada; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Jan Bottolfsen, Milford, Iowa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed and Helene Bottolfsen, Hartington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Lois Bottolfsen, Yankton, S.D.; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Gene and Terri Boysen, St. Joseph, Minn.; son and daughter-in-law, Darin and Tina Boysen, Lincoln; grandson, Eric Boysen; granddaughter, Emily Boysen; granddaughter, Jordan Boysen and granddaughter, Hailey Boysen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Boysen.

Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Desert Hills Lutheran Church, Green Valley.
