HASTINGS — Bill E. Bottolfson, 81, Hastings, died April 25, 2016, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings.
Services were at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings, with Keith Brandt officiating. Military rites were performed by Hastings Veterans Organizations.
Private family burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings.
Bill was born in Hartington, July 2, 1934, to William Bottolfson and Katherine (Anderson) Larson.
Bill’s grandparents were Nils Martin and Grace (Bowers) Bottolfson, and Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Anderson.
Bill graduated from Hastings High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and finished his years of service with the Army Reserves. He married Geraldine McEwen and they had four children. They later divorced. Bill married Deborah Brandt and they had two children. They later divorced.
Bill was a supervisor at Hastings Irrigation for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include children and spouses, Bill E. and Tammy Bottolfson, Grand Island; Michelle M. Meyer, Kearney; Robert E. and Debbie Bottolfson, Brian E. Bottolfson, Brooke E. and Luis Molina, and Brandt O. Bottolfson, and a brother, Oran Bottolfson, all of Hastings; grandchildren, Eric, Tim, Darrin, Trinity, Tabitha, Nevaeh, Christa, Emma, Bryce, Ellesandra, Darian and Leilani; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and step father, Leonard Larson.
