McCool Junction — Barbara J. Anderson, 63, McCool Junction, died Oct. 5, 2016, at Lincoln.
Visitation was Sunday at Metz Chapel, York, and continued at the mortuary.
Funeral services were Oct. 11 at Metz Chapel, York. Private family interment will be held at McCool Cemetery, McCool Junction.
Barbara was born Sept. 7, 1953, to Richard and Patricia (Hickman) Guest at Phoenix, Ariz. Barbara was the first woman in the state of Nebraska to take auto mechanics in high school and also drag-raced in Hastings. Barbara married Todd Anderson July 17, 1998, at Lake Tahoe, Nev.
She enjoyed cooking, antiquing and music. She had a love for lake living, including fishing and observing wildlife. Barbara’s priority in life was her family. She was the best mother her daughters could have ever asked for.
She was a former member of First Christian Church, Port Arthur, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Todd, McCool Jct.; daughters, Samantha Miller, Lincoln; Melissa Baker and her fiancé, Roy Julius, McCool Jct.; Lindsay Epperson, Lincoln; and Emily Epperson and her fiancé, Adrienne Petro, Lincoln; grandchildren, Brianna Miller, Allaura Luebbe and Guy Cruthers, all of Lincoln; and great-granddaughter, Amelia White, Lincoln; nieces, nephews, cousins and her dogs, Sophie and Fievel.
She was preceded in death by her gram, Naomi; her parents; brother, Michael Guest; aunt, Charlene Goldstein; grandson, Joshua Fouts; and Valma, the dog.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
