Ravenna — Arthur Vogt, 104, Ravenna died June 28, 2016, at his home in Ravenna.
Visitation was July 1 at the church.
Services were July 2 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Ravenna. Rev. Micah Gaunt officiated.
Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery.
Rasmussen Funeral Home, Ravenna, was in charge of arrangements.
Arthur Vogt was born Nov. 22, 1911, on a farm south of Ravenna, to George Vogt Sr. and Bertha (Kutz) Vogt. He was educated at District #107. He began farming at the age of nine and retired at the age of 94. He married Birdean Roth Feb. 24, 1937, in Ravenna. They made their home on a farm near Ravenna.
Arthur enjoyed horses, fishing, dancing, polka music and growing flowers. Farming was his life.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jeanette Vogt, Grand Island; daughter, Marlene Pick, Colerige; daughter-in-law, Ann Vogt, Council Bluffs, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dewey and Bennie Roth, Ravenna.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Birdean; son, Gary Vogt; son-in-law, David Pick; grandson, Richard Vogt; grandson-in-law, Mark Sherman; five brothers and two sisters.
