HARTINGTON —   The need for the use of the Cedar County Transit System has increased during the past few years.
County board members agreed to purchase two additional vans during the Cedar County Commissioner meeting on June 28.
The Cedar County Transit System will then have four vans available to provide rides to county residents.
Calls asking for rides on the transit bus have increased, said Mary Rose Pinkelman, Cedar County Transit Manager.
“Our ridership has increased. I am running out of vehicles and drivers,” she said. “I will need another driver. Right now a back-up is needed but later it could be a full-time driver.”
