HARTINGTON —The Hartington-Newcastle School Board signed a two-year contract with Adrian Johnson, hired as the new Superintendent of Schools two weeks ago to replace Randy Anderson.

Anderson first became superintendent here six years ago as part of an inter-local agreement between Crofton Community Schools and Hartington Public School to share the administrative duties of a single superintendent. Anderson gave his notice of resignation to both schools last summer  to give ample time to find a replacement before his contract ended June 30, 2015.  The schools have since both agreed to hire separate superintendents.
