Sergeant Bluff, Iowa — Sue Ann Richards-Olson, 59, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, died Feb. 4, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral services were Feb. 7 at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church, Sergeant Bluff.
Visitation was Feb. 6 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, Sioux City, Iowa. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Sue was born July 6, 1955, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Richard and Donna (Laehle) Richards. She graduated from Hinton Community High School in 1974. Sue married John Anderson in December 1974. The couple later divorced. Sue married Mike Olson May 31, 1996, in Hinton, Iowa.
She waitressed for several years at Truck Haven and Sioux Harbor.
Sue loved spending as much time with her family and grandchildren as possible. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and reading. She liked to garden and spend time at the farm with her husband.
Sue was an active member of Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church.
Sue is survived by her husband, Mike Olson, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; children and spouses, Liz and Layne Wood,Fargo, N.D.; Josh and Penny Anderson, LeMars, Iowa; Ryan and Angie Anderson, Rapid City, S.D.; two brothers and wives, Mike and Laura Richards and Rich and Tammy Richards; two sisters, Connie and husband, Norm Thoreson, and Cheryl Doll; two step daughters, Elizabeth and husband, Paul Jacobsma, Chicago, Ill., and Emily Olson, St. Louis, Mo.; several grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; mother and father-in-law, Harry and Jeanette Olson, Laurel; and sister-in-law and husband, Sandy and Mike Becker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
