OMAHA — Judith Willms, 78, Omaha, formerly of Coleridge, died at her residence under Hospice Care Feb. 17, 2015, in Omaha.
Visitation was Feb. 21, one hour prior to services at Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge.
Funeral services were Feb. 21 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge, with the Rev. Debra Valentine officiating. Burial was at the Coleridge City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Haws, Tiffany Sauer, Clark Willms, Emily Wynn and Tony Ahmed.
Judith Arlene Willms was born Aug. 23, 1936, to Ernest and Alice (Strivens) Willms in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Coleridge High School. After her graduation from the University of Michigan, she worked in finance in Chicago, San Francisco and New York. Judith worked several years in Omaha and also taught at Metropolitan Community College there. She loved to travel and made several trips to European destinations. She went on an African photo safari, and spent several months living in the Seychelles Islands.
Judith spent her retirement years in Omaha. She was an avid reader and had a keen interest in politics on all levels.
She is survived by her sister, Jean Haws, Houston, Texas; her brother, Neal and his wife, Sharyn Willms, Omaha; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents Ernie and Alice Willms.
