Area business getting off the ground just in time for planting season

HARTINGTON — Hartington continues to grow its agriculture sector with new businesses like Top Crop located on Highway 57 just north of Hartington.

Dirt work began last September with construction beginning soon after that. The 87×136 warehouse in the back is in full operation with two drive-through bay doors for specially treated bulk seed pickup.

The front part of the building is still a work in progress, but at 50 x 50 feet, it will feature a showroom, a conference room, kitchen and offices. Owners, Glen Thoene and Scott Heine, hope to have it completed by mid to the end of April.
