Community can check out new Fire Hall

HARTINGTON — After one year, $1 million and hundreds of man hours in labor and planning, the official grand opening for the Hartington and Rural Fire and Ambulance Hall will be Feb. 28.

The event is set to begin at 10 a.m.

Fire Chief Randy Kathol said the project actually got started when Hartington School District agreed to sell the portion of the campus property east of Broadway Avenue in January 2013.
