COLERIDGE — Marilyn Jean Hahne, 81, Coleridge, died July 12, 2014, at her residence.
Visitation and a prayer service were Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge, and will continue Wednesday one hour prior to services.
Funeral Services will be July 16, at 2 p.m., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge, with the Rev. Debra Valentine officiating.
Burial will be at Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Coleridge.
Pallbearers will be Andy Hahne, Todd Hahne, Matt Hahne, Nate Hahne, Caleb Hahne, Mike Frerichs, Adam Hurley and Mason Hahne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Janet Gillespie, Patti Cook, Michelle Seagren, Leah Schaller, Jessica Peters, Christa Hurley and Lauren Hahne.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge.
Marilyn Jean was born July 1, 1933, in Hartington, to Conrad and Wilma (Hansen) Hefner. She was baptized July 22, 1933, and confirmed June 2, 1946. She grew up in Coleridge and Laurel and graduated from Coleridge High School in 1951. She married Donovan Hahne Oct. 11, 1951, in Coleridge. Marilyn and Don made their home on the farm northeast of Coleridge.
Marilyn enjoyed bowling with the same women on the Bank team for 45 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Our Night Out Club and card club. She enjoyed most being a homemaker, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marilyn loved her family and enjoyed going to her grandkids’ and great-grandkids’ activities.
She truly lived a life of service, not only impacting her family, but was always willing to help friends by making food, driving them to appointments or having a big smile to share.
She is survived by her husband, Donovan, Coleridge; five children and their spouses, Roger Hahne, Coleridge; Sandy and Dave Frerichs, Coleridge; Kevin and Rebecca Hahne, Norfolk; Sharon and Joe Hurley, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Doug and Mary Hahne, Hartington; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ron and wife, Linda Hefner, Ft. Collins, Colo.; one sister, Carol Barber, Denver, Colo.; brother-in-law, Wendell Hahne, Norfolk; and sister-in-law, Marva Lee Felber, Newman Grove.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Wilma Hefner.
