Randolph — Elmer William Meyer, 75, died at his home Sept. 3, 2014, surrounded by his wife and children.
Services were Sept. 8 at St. Jane Francis Catholic Church, Randolph, with burial in the parish cemetery, accompanied by military rites.
Elmer was born July 27, 1939, to John and Viola (Colling) Meyer. He was a dairy farmer and spent his whole life on the same farm except for his time spent serving in the Army. On June 30, 1981, he married Sherry (Brokaw) Rohloff.
Elmer enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren; his farm animals, especially his cows; and helping in his church as a CCD teacher.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Sherry, Randolph; children, Michael Meyer, Crofton; Sara and husband, Bob Umberger, Randolph; Johnny Rohloff and Tonna Poppe, Randolph; Sheryl and husband, Jeff Prince, Osmond; Kathy and husband, Bobby Hamilton, Holdrege; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers and wives, Edward and Mary Lou Meyer, Scotsdale, Aria., and Vincent and Vonnie Meyer, Randolph; and two sisters, Norma Stueckrath, Randolph; and Dolores Sattler, Boise, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, two brothers, three brothers-in-law and one sister.
