HUBBARD, Texas — Claude Julius Wuebben, 80, Hubbard, died June 21, 2014, in Waco.
Visitation and a Rosary were June 25 at Wade Funeral Home, Hubbard.
A Rosary and funeral services were June 26 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Penelope, Texas.
Burial was at St. Mary’s Penelope Cemetery.
Claude was born April 18, 1934, in Wynot. He graduated from Wynot High School and served in the Armed Forces from 1956-59. Claude married Audrey Irene Erickson in 1957, in Sioux Falls, S.D., and later had four children. Claude was employed by Dan River Mills, Dallas,Texas, for 30 years as regional sales manager and was one of the leading salesmen in the company. After retiring, Claude resided in Hubbard when he married Mary Carolyn Kroll in 1998.
Claude enjoyed raising cattle and horses and the outdoors. He loved everything about hay farming, especially his John Deere tractors. Claude was always there to help friends and family with whatever they needed. He loved spending time with his friends, children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Evelyn Wuebben; his son, Brian Wuebben; sister, Delores Becker; brother, Norm Wuebben; brother, Richard Wuebben; and granddaughter, Emily Wuebben.
Claude is survived by his wife Carolyn; his three children, Sandra Mitchell; Bruce Wuebben and wife, Connie; and Sheri Ferguson and husband, Kennon; his wife’s two children, Karen Fraley and husband, Wesley, and Tommy Coots; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, James, Jackie, Suzanne, Cydney, Dillon, Gene, Joseph, Tana and Kesley; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Maurice Wuebben, Charles “Chuck” Wuebben, Ron Wuebben and Clair Wuebben; and two sisters, Donalda Kolbeck and Audrey Cleveland; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
