Wayne — Bonnie Sprouls, 80, Wayne, died July 24, 2014, at her residence in Wayne.
Visitation was July 28 at Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne.
Funeral services were July 29 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Wayne, with Rev. Ron Nelson officiating.
Pallbearers were Peter Hansen, Paul Hansen, John Hansen, Brittni Sprouls, Micah Sprouls, Kalie Sprouls, Travis Sprouls and Megan Hejtmanek.
Interment was in Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wayne.
Bonnie Lou Sprouls was born Feb. 8, 1934, on a farm near Wayne, to Curtis and Emma (Wittler) Foote. She was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wayne. She graduated from Wayne High School. Bonnie married Lawrence Sprouls Feb, 22, 1957, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wayne. The couple lived on dairy farms south of Wayne until retiring and moving into Wayne in 1994. Bonnie worked as a chiropractor’s receptionist for five years. She was a Sunday school teacher at Redeemer Lutheran Church for 12 years, was active with the church newsletter and parish visitations at Our Savior Lutheran Church where she was a current member.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Lawrence; children and spouses, Michael Sprouls, Wayne; Julie and James Hansen, Winside; and Wesly and Dawn Sprouls, Milford; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Marion Raymer, Fremont; sisters-in-law, Myla Foote, Wayne; Beverly (Foote) Rusk, Wakefield; Eileen Sprouls, Kansas City, Mo.; and Marvelee Moser and Carol Cottier, both of California.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dewayne and Robert Foote; sister, Edna Cary, in 2014; and brothers-in-law Wesley Cary, Floyd Raymer, William Cottier, Ray Moser and Earl Moser.
