Altar from Laurel’s Immanuel Lutheran now in Pilger

PILGER — An altar, which was made by a Laurel resident over 50 years ago, has became a token of the brotherhood and love that exists between two small Nebraska communities.

The altar is from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Laurel for the congregation from a church in Pilger which lost their church building and contents when twin tornados swept through their town.
