HARTINGTON — The Hartington City Council and Economic Development Corporation agreed Monday to put aside their differences and work together to find a way to fund the proposed water quality and flood control project.
The project began five years ago as an Economic Development Corporation study. The city has since taken it on, but has had to overcome several stumbling blocks in the process. The latest roadblock occurred earlier this summer when bids for the work came in 40 percent higher than anticipated.
