City approves new $4 million budget

HARTINGTON — The city of Hartington will raise property taxes one cent per $100,000 of valuation despite increased growth and economic development.

The City Council approved the increase during its budget hearing Monday, Sept. 8, and passed the 2014-15 budget totaling $4,081,743.

The Council also agreed to a tax request of $477,025.
