HARTINGTON — Two area couples gave residents in Japan a glimpse of what family life is like on a farm in Nebraska.
Rod and Deb Flaugh and Scott and MeLea Kinkaid spent five days in Japan on a trip that was sponsored by the Nebraska Soybean Association.
A group, which included eight Nebraska residents, flew out of Omaha and landed in Denver Aug. 11. The next leg of the trip was a 12-hour flight to Tokyo.
The group returned back home to Nebraska the following Sunday.
The Nebraska group attended several events that had been set up by the United States Meat Export Federation to promote U.S. meat exports.
