Cats come out on top in battle with Wynot

WYNOT — The Hartington Lady Wildcats jumped out to an early lead then hung on for a 25-23 first-set win over Wynot here last week.
The two squads again traded points in the second set before the Lady Blue Devils were able to turn the tables with a 25-23 win of their own. It was once again Hartington’s turn in the third set, as Hartington won the third set 25-17.
Wynot refused to let down, though, as they forced a fifth set with a 25-17 fourth-set decision.
Coach Leigh Haselhorst put the Lady Devils away  with a  15-9 win in the fifth set.
Shelby Hochstein paced the Hartington squad at the net, slamming down 11 kills. She also kept the Wynot offense off balance with six ace serves.
