Dixon — Hildegard Thomas, 88, Dixon, died Aug. 18, 2013, at Providence Medical Center, Wayne.
The visitation and prayer service were Aug. 20 at the church.
Funeral services will be Aug. 21, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, near Concord, with Pastor Willie Bertrand officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home, Wakefield.
Hildegard was born June 15, 1925, in Concord, to John and Christina (Schmidt) Koch. After graduating from Dixon High School, she married Paul I. Thomas Aug. 2, 1948, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Concord. They had three children, Stacy, Paulette and Susan. Hildegard was active with the St. Paul Lutheran Church Ladies Aid and the Concord-Dixon Senior Center. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and hand-embroidery.
Hildegard is survived by her son, Stacy Thomas, Pearland, Texas; daughters, Paulette A. and husband, Ken Wampol, Tabor, S.D., and Susan M. and husband, Dwain Stanley, Dixon; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, David (Julie) Humphrey, Lincoln; Brian (Rita) Humphrey, Vermillion, S.D., and children, Zander and Callum Humphrey; Rebecca (Todd) Barner, Wayne, and children, Morgan, Eli and Jacob Barner, Wayne, and Frantzdie and Wanso Barner, Haiti; Steven (Leanay) Stanley, Laurel, and children, Dusty and Trista Sullivan; Michael (Katie) Stanley,West Point, and daughter, Paisley Kate Stanley; Mathew Stanley and Kristina Huber, Canton, Md.; Jessica Thomas and Jonny Lazono, Pearland, Texas; Brooke Thomas, Hartington; Alyssa Thomas, Pearland, Texas; sisters, Adele M. Koch, Redwood City, Calif., and Martha Smith, Laurel; and a brother, Helmut J. Koch, South Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul, in 1996; and five sisters and four brothers.
