LOUISVILLE — Northeast Nebraska showed Thursday just how dominant teams in this part of the state are.
Cedar Catholic and Ponca both pulled major upsets during first round playoff action. The two Northeast Neb. powerhouses will now square off in second-round action at Russ Hochstein Field.
Cedar gets to host the game because it has a higher NSAA power point total then Ponca.
Ponca entered Thursday’s game as the 14th seed, defeatng the third seeded Elwood-Murdock.
Cedar entered the the first-round game as the 11th seed, and defeted the 5th seeded Lions.
