Hartington earned a four-set win  over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Oct. 3, then topped Allen in three straight sets last Thursday.

The Lady Cats had to battle hard, but earned a 25-20 win in the first set against Allen then came out on top in a back-and-forth affair in the second set to earn the 25-23 decision. Hartington took the lead and never looked back in the third set, winning 25-15.

The Lady Cats were at the net in the game by Michaela Dendinger, who slammed down 13 kills. Shelby Hochstein also had a solid night with 10 kills. Courtney Hochsein set the offense up with 29 set assists.

Ashley Morten paced the Hartington defense with 13 digs.

Coach Julie Schreiber had nothing but praise for her team after the big win.

“The Wildcats played a phenomenal game both offensively and defensively. We have been working hard to focus and get a solid win against a great team in three sets and we did it,” she said. “These girls worked hard and their hard work paid off. I am so, so proud of these girls.”
