NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — James M. Peterson, 61, Northridge, Calif., died Oct. 18, 2012, at his home.
Visitation and a Rosary were Oct. 30 at Johnson Funeral Home, Randolph.
Funeral services were Oct. 31 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Randolph, with Rev. Michael J. Swanton officiating.
Interment was at St. Frances Catholic Cemetery, Randolph.
Pallbearers were Rick Bergman, Troy Bergman, Ron Scott, Rick Backhaus, Jerry Backhaus and Tim Kint.
James was born in Randolph July 17, 1951, to Charles “Bus” and Marcella “Sally” Peterson. He graduated from St. Frances Catholic High School in 1969. He lived in Columbus several years after high school, working for D&L, Behlen Manufacturing and Hamernik Construction. He then moved to Van Nuys, Calif., where he worked for Aelco Corp. as a printer. He later moved to Northridge, where he worked for Future Media, Inc. as a printer.
He was a very loving and supportive parent to his daughter, always having endless time for her. Jim also had the gift of being very mechanically inclined; he could fix anything.
Jim is survived by his wife, Peg Bergman, Columbus; daughter, Jamie Peterson, Columbus; brother, Charles “Mick” Peterson, Randolph; and aunt, Ursula Bernard, Kearney.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles “Bus” and Marcella “Sally” Peterson; brother, Dan Peterson; and sister-in-law, Patricia Peterson.
