WYNOT — Iva A. Catherman, 93, Wynot, died April 1, 2012, at the Golden Living Center, Hartington.
Visitation was April 2 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, and resumed one hour prior to services Tuesday.
Funeral Services were April 3 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, with Rev. Gary Kimm officiating.
Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida Grove, Iowa.
Iva was born Aug. 4, 1918, at Wynot, to John Iven and Della Luella (Rauch) Catherman. She grew up on a farm east of Wynot and attended a nearby country school through the third grade and graduated from Obert High School in 1936. She took some post graduate classes at the Ida Grove High School and then was a secretary/bookkeeper at the local grain elevator in Ida Grove. She returned to the family farm home and was employed at the ASCS office, Hartington, until she retired in 1973.
Iva loved being outdoors but her passion was reading, especially novels.
Iva is survived by several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Lois and Fern Catherman.
