Hubbard — Amber Nichole Martin, 22, Hubbard, died March 30, 2012.
The visitation and a prayer service were April 3 at the church.
Funeral services will be April 4, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emerson.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Emerson.
Amber was born to Rick and Audrey (Feilmeier) Martin July 16, 1989, at Sioux City, Iowa. She lived in Hubbard since she was six years old. She graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School in 2008, and registered for classes at Northeast Community College, and then the tumors took over. She enjoyed working with children, always wanting to be a special education teacher.
She enjoyed playing games, making up poems, writing things down that made her happy. She enjoyed doing crafts and using her imagination. Amber enjoyed being a big sister to her brother Joe. She loved rainbows and said she would someday find the end.
Survivors include her parents, Rick and Audrey; three brothers, Jon and wife, Amber Martin, McCook Lake, S.D.; Dan and wife, Faith Martin, Sioux City, Iowa; and Joe Martin, Hubbard; three sisters, Dana Martin and special friend, James Higginbotham, Sioux City, Iowa; Jill and husband, Zach Antonavich, El Paso, Texas; and Kris and husband, Bill O’Neill, Lawton, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts, as well as her paternal grandmother, Janet Martin Gardendale, Ala.
Amber was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Carl Martin, and maternal grandparents, John and Rose Feilmeier.
