DIXON — Monte Jensen, 55, Dixon, died April 14, 2011, at Hillcrest Care Center, Laurel.
Visitation and a Vigil service were April 17 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Dixon.
Funeral services were April 18 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Dixon, with Rev. James F. McCluskey officiating.
Interment was in St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery, Dixon.
Honorary Pallbearers were his sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, Daniel, David, Krista, Andrew, Adam, Liliana, Daiton, Isaac and Morgan.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Homes, Laurel.
Monte Lee Jensen was born May 29, 1955, in Wayne, to Norman and MaryLee (Garvin) Jensen. He graduated from Laurel-Concord High School in 1973. Monte married Linda Victor Aug. 21, 1973. They lived in Wayne where Monte worked maintenance for I.B.P., Dakota City. They moved to Wakefield in 1986 where Monte was employed at Waldbaum’s. He later moved to Dixon.
Monte enjoyed his tractor, fixing things, golfing and fishing, but most of all his family.
He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Dixon.
Monte is survived by his wife, Linda; four sons, Daniel Jensen, Battle Creek; David and Krista Jensen, Stafford, Va.; Andrew Jensen, Wayne; Adam and Liliana Jensen, Norfolk; mother, MaryLee Jensen, Dixon; grandchildren, Daiton and Morgan Jensen, Stafford, Va., and Isaac Jensen, Norfolk; sisters, Sharon and husband, Rob Freeman, Elkhorn; and Deb Nobbe (Andy Tisthammer), Laurel; nieces and nephews.
Monte was preceded in death by his father, Norman Jensen; and grandparents, Frode and Ellen Jensen, and Leo and Ferne Garvin.
