NORFOLK — Mary Ann Peters, 69, Norfolk died April 1, 2011, at Heritage of Bel Air, Norfolk, after a long battle with cancer.
Visitation was April 4 at Home for Funerals, Norfolk.
Funeral services were April 5 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Norfolk, with burial in the Belden Cemetery, Belden.
Mary Ann was born Feb. 8, 1942, to Joseph and Dorothy (Hayward) McDonald, Randolph. She graduated from Randolph High School with the Class of 1959. She married Larry Peters Oct. 19, 1950, at Yankton, S.D., and they had two daughters. Mary Ann worked as a waitress all of her life, first at the Cornhusker Café, Randolph, and then for many years at Jerry’s Hilltop Café, Randolph.
She enjoyed spending time with her long time friend and companion Jim Stahl. They enjoyed fishing, outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters, Lori and husband, Danny Olson, Norfolk, and LoRita Rudder, Bellevue; one brother and wife, Robert and Darlene McDonald, Randolph; six grandchildren, Sonya Olson, Tara Rudder, Lacy and her husband Ryan Kimes, Caleb Rudder, Brooke Olson and Hayley Rudder; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronald; and one granddaughter.
