COLERIDGE — Erna Brockman, 100, Coleridge, died March 30, 2011, at the Osmond General Hospital, Osmond.
Visitation was April 2 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge, and continued Saturday at church, one hour prior to services.
Funeral Services were April 2 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge, with the Rev. Katherine Russell officiating.
Burial was at Lawn Ridge Cemetery, Coleridge.
Pallbearers were Douglas Mitteis, Todd Mitteis, Dan Osborne, Cody Osborne, Calvin Bartling and Dale Bartling.
Erna Marie Brockman was born Feb. 23, 1911, in Coleridge to John C. and Helena (Lange) Brockman. She lived on a farm a few miles north of Coleridge and then eventually moved into Coleridge. Erna graduated from Coleridge High School in 1927. She worked at, and later managed, the Farmers Union Store for over 50 years.
Erna was a Girl Scout Leader and taught Sunday school for over 50 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Erna loved to play cards and Dominoes.
Erna is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Raymond, Marvin and Lawrence Brockman.
