LINCOLN — Tom Osborne would have been proud.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers’ legendary coach will forever be known as the man that went for the win and lost the 1983 National Championship.

Cedar Catholic Coach Chad Cattau took a play out of Coach Osborne’s playbook Tuesday.

Cedar had just scored an overtime touchdown to pull within one point of undefeated Ponca, 14-13. Instead of lining up for the extra point kick, Cattau went for two, and put the game into All Stater Chad Koch’s hands.
