HARTINGTON — Chamber Coffee will be at Carhart Lumber May 1. The event begins at 9:30 a.m.  The Cedar County News has moved its Chamber Coffee to late July.

HARTINGTON— Paul Neu’s 25th class reunion will be a real bash.
It will probably include a few punches, eye gashes and choke-holds, as well.
The 1984 Cedar Catholic High School graduate, better known as ‘The Rapmaster P.N. News, will return home for his class reunion in June 27 to stage an All Star Wrestling show here.
Billed as “Cedarmania,” the All Star wrestling show will be a fund-raiser for the school to raise money for a new school bus.

HARTINGTON — The Hartington boys track team won its own Track Invitational here April 21.

NORFOLK ­—  Cedar Catholic claimed the MidStates Conference golf title here Saturday for the second time in three years.
Earlier in the week, the Trojans claimed top honors in the O’Neill Invitational and won the Pierce Triangular. The Trojans have now won every tournament they’ve entered so far this year. Read The Full Story…

HARTINGTON —  On May 11 the price of a one–ounce First-Class Mail stamp will increase from 42 to 44 cents.

Hartington Postmaster Janelle McTaggart reminds customers they can continue to mail letters at today’s prices by purchasing their Forever stamps before May 11.
“That’s why Forever stamps were created, to help consumers ease the transition during price changes,” said McTaggart.

HARTINGTON — The Cedar Catholic boys track team continues to rack up team titles.
The Cedar boys earned the team title at the S.D.-Neb. challenge in Tyndall, S.D. April 21.
The team racked up 141 team points to easily out-distance runner-up Bon Homme, S.D.
Coach Chad Cattau’s boys’ team picked up eight gold medals and three silvers on the day. Read The Full Story…

SHORELINE, Wash. — David Richard Lentz, 47, Shoreline, Wash., died at his home April 21, 2009, of cancer.
Funeral services will be held April 30 in Washington.
A memorial service will be held May 5, at 2 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge.

Funeral service for Naomi McCoy was held Friday, April 3, 2009, at the United Methodist Church in Valentine.

Visitation and a rosary were April 23 at the St. Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Randolph.
Mass of Christian burial was April 24 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Randolph, with Rev. John Andrews officiating.
