Thanks to four points each from Zach Jones and Ryan Boeckman, the Blue Devils were able to keep up in the second quarter and trailed 31-17 at the half.
Four more points by Fischer and Lammers and a Weston Fleming trey ignited a 15-8 run by Hartington in the third quarter.
Seven points by Ryan Boeckman, six points by Zach Jones and a Ryan Heimes three-pointer would lead a mini rally for the Blue Devils in the fourth quarter, but the 21-12 run was a case of too little, too late and Hartington picked up the 58-46 win.
