HARTINGTON — Another new business will be locating in downtown Hartington soon.
The Hartington City Council gave its approval on a sign permit for Ultimate Communications, which will be located in the former Arnie’s Market building on Broadway Street.
Ultimate Communications, which will provide Alltel service and cell phones, will be open all day Monday through Friday and also be open a half day on Saturdays, according to company manager Bob Thomas.
Ultimate Communications has a tentative date of Sept. 1 for their opening.
“When the tower is up and running – we will be open,” said Thomas. “The tower should be done by Sept. 1.”
This marks the second new business to relocate to the building. Etched Impressions and Dried Arrangements moved to the south part of the Broadway Street building earlier this summer.
The Hartington City Council had a short agenda for its Aug. 11 meeting.
A preliminary budget meeting was scheduled for Monday Aug. 18.
“Nothing will be decided at the meeting – we will only be reviewing the budget,” said Mayor Bill Yates.
A public hearing on the budget will be held in September.
The next Hartington City Council meeting will be on Aug. 25.
