Obituary – Mary Lange

YANKTON, S.D. — Mary C. (Mack) Lange, 81, Yankton, S.D., formerly of Menominee, died Aug. 11, 2007, at the Avera Sister James Care Center, Yankton, S.D.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m., Aug. 15, at the Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, with a rosary at 7 p.m., followed by a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Aug. 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yankton, with Rev. Tim Lange celebrating and Fr. Mark Lichter concelebrating.
Burial will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery, Menominee, following lunch. Pallbearers will be Ron Kast, Larry Hoebelheinrich, Ron Eskens, Brad Lange, Paul Mack and Steve Mack.
Mary Catherine was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Louis and Magdeline (Schwan) Mack. She grew up in Aberdeen, and was educated for eight years at St. Mary’s Catholic School and four years at Central High School. She furthered her education by completing three years of nurse’s training at Sacred Heart Hospital graduating in 1946. In 1971, she graduated from Sacred Heart Hospital School of Anesthesia. She married Luverne “Bud” Lange Aug. 7, 1971, in Menominee.
She was President of Arc of Cedar County and volunteered for Future Promise, Hospice of Cedar County, Community Caretakers, Christian Mothers and was president of Ladies Guild.
